Where Are You?

Faith                                                                                                               4-15-2020

Hello everyone! Today I want to share something that has been on my mind.  I am going to be looking at Genesis 3:9(picture below).  A little background before we get started.  We are at the point where Adam has already messed up.  Adam and his wife both have sinned against God by eating off of the one tree he told them not to.  Now they are hiding from God because they have messed up big time.  It's kind of a funny concept hiding from God.  It makes me think about when we were children and we used to hide from our parents because we did something wrong.  In the end we were found and punished anyway.

Genesis 3:9 And the LORD God called to Adam, and said to him ...

Then the crazy saying comes.  "Where are you?"  I've always wondered why God would ask that question.  He knew the answer.  God knew where they were hiding, but maybe that wasn't what God meant by asking that.  An amazing guy by the name of Bob Goff said in his book Love Does (which I highly recommend by the way) God was giving Adam a chance to be honest with God.  He was asking where Adam's heart was.  Mind blowing right!

Anyway here is what we can take from this.  We all make mistakes daily; even if you are a Christian.  But God gives us a chance to answer the question, "where are you?" or repent.  Now as a child I was taught that repentance is saying you did something wrong, and then not doing it again.  But now that I am older I think it's much more than that.  I like to look at it as my heart to heart with God.  I still make sure I admit I messed up, and I try to not do it again.  But I like looking at it this way because repentance is a judge free action.

Jesus died and took the judgement of our sin for us.  All of them even the once we haven't done yet.  And since I have a relationship with Jesus my sins don't mean I have to face the guilt of judgement anymore.

A question I used to wonder as well how much faith do I need to get to heaven, and have my sins forgiven.

Your Daily Verse - Ephesians 2:8-9 - Inspirations

The Bible tells us it's by grace that we are saved through faith.  So the grace of God saves me.   But it gets better it's a gift from God.  Not by how good or bad I am.  This is amazing because as much as I screw up.  My actions aren't what saves me.  It's the grace of God that does.

So the only question now is, "Where are you?"

Much love,

Chloe Ann <3

My Bible Time Routine- Morning & Evening

Faith                                                                                        May 1, 2020 Hello everyone! I wanted to share my morning and evening bible quiet time.  I recently started this, so it might change a bit over time but is this what I am currently doing.  I want to say there is no right or wrong way to spend your time with God this is just what I like to do for my quiet time.   Morning: When I get ready for the day I usually listen to my Christian playlist to get my day going.  Sometimes I make coffee, tea, or just drink water while I do my devotion for the morning.  So the first thing I do is I fill out my prayer binder for the day.  I just write down all my prayer requests.  Then I pray over them...
